What Is Global Access Direct Service

Global Access Direct (GAD) service is the implementation of our new generation of switching technology. GAD is a direct dial-through service for customers. This means the customer does not have to hang up when placing a long-distance call, giving transparent access to Telegroup service, at the best rates.

GA Direct - Japan is a straightforward, convenient direct dial service with no start up fees and no minimum charges.

How GAD - Japan Works

1. Instant, direct access - no time delay waiting for the callback.
2. No sign up fee.
3. No monthly minimum fee.
4. The service can be used from the home, business, pay phone, hotel phone or PHS.
5. PIN allows customer use of the service from any touch-tone phone in Japan at the same low rate 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Who Can Access GAD - Japan

For now, all active Telegroup customers can access GAD - Japan from any touch-tone phone.

NOTE TO CUSTOMERS: When you call from outside of the freephone area or PHS, you will be charged by NTT or PHS company for the access call. Freephone area is Tokyo as of May, 1997. Telegroup is expanding the area to Yokohama and Osaka in the future. Please remember the only requirement for using the service is a touch-tone phone.

Customer Instructions

1. In Tokyo, dial the freephone access number 0120-717199. (If you are calling from outside the freephone area or PHS, please dial 03-5665-7171.)
2. After the tone, enter your PIN code. (If your PHS is registered with Telegroup, you do not need to enter your PIN code. You automatically skip to step 3.)
3. After the tone, dial the country code and destination number, and press # key. For consecutive calls, press ## and you get the bong tone to repeat step 3.

More GAD - Japan Details

1. Billing is in 30/06 increments.
2. Charges start once the party being called answers his or her phone.
3. The rates will be calculated in Japanese Yen.
4. Billing will also be calculated in Japanese Yen.

5. Customers who have questions about this service or would like to request additional PINs, or want to adjust the monthly account limit, should call or fax the Telegroup Customer Service office ONLY AFTER SIGNED UP!!
